These Betting Rules govern all real-money play at Zinx Casino, including the casino product (slots, table games, live dealer, instant games) and the sportsbook product. They complement, and sit beneath, our Terms & Conditions. Single-event sports wagering in Canada has been legal since the passage of Bill C-218 in 2021; Zinx operates as a licensed offshore brand serving Canadian players under permit KGC-LIC-CAN-2026 issued by the Kahnawake Gaming Commission. Any rule below may be superseded by a more specific game-rule or sport-specific rule, but never by an external claim.
These rules apply hierarchically, from most specific to most general:
Zinx may amend these rules at any time. Material changes take effect 7 days after publication; non-material changes (typos, clarifications, structural edits) take effect immediately. The version on this page is always the current binding version.
To place a real-money bet on Zinx you must:
A bet exists only when our server has accepted it and issued a bet receipt with a unique reference number. The bet receipt is the single source of truth.
The rules below apply across the Zinx casino product. Where a game provider publishes a more specific rule inside the game (for example, paytable variants or feature buy rules), the in-game rule controls.
Slot and instant-game (crash, mines, plinko) rounds are settled by the game provider's certified Random Number Generator. Once a spin or round is committed server-side, the result is final and cannot be reversed.
Table games on Zinx β including online variants and live-dealer streams β follow the standard rules of the casino game played. Side bets, optional bonuses and progressive contributions are described in-game by the provider.
A "malfunction" means any failure of the game software, the platform, the connection between game and platform, or the player's device that prevents the game from being settled per its rules. When the game provider declares a void, all bets on the affected round are voided and balances are restored to the pre-round state. Network disconnections that are limited to the player's device do not, by themselves, void a bet β the game provider's transactional record governs.
Bonuses on Zinx are governed by the bonus terms in force at the time of grant and by section 10 of our Terms & Conditions. The headline rules across all casino bonuses are:
The sportsbook rules below apply to all event wagering at Zinx. Sport-specific rules in section 10 prevail over the general rules in this Section B when in conflict.
The Zinx sportsbook supports the following bet structures. The full glossary at section 19 expands every term.
A wager on the outcome of one market on one event. Settled at the odds shown on the bet receipt.
A wager combining two or more selections from different events into one bet. All selections must win for the parlay to win.
Permutation combinations from a group of selections β for example, Trixie (3 selections, 4 bets), Yankee (4 selections, 11 bets), Lucky 15 (4 selections, 15 bets including singles). Each combination is settled independently.
Most common in horse racing. The bet splits into two equal-stake parts: one for the win and one for the place (typically the top 2β4 finishers, as stated on the market). The place portion is settled at a fraction of the win odds (commonly 1/4 or 1/5).
Wagers placed while an event is in progress. Live markets are subject to a short acceptance delay (typically 2β10 seconds) during which we verify that no in-play event has changed the price. Bets placed on a price that has since moved or on a market that has been suspended may be rejected.
Decimal is the default odds format on Zinx; you can switch to fractional or American in your account settings. The price on your bet receipt is the price that binds the bet β not the price displayed on your screen at the moment you tap "Place Bet". Price changes between display and acceptance are handled as follows:
Most bets settle within minutes of the official result being published by the recognised governing body. Some markets β for example player-stat markets or events without standardised official sources β may take longer. The official source of result is the governing body's data feed unless the market specifies otherwise.
Hockey is the priority Canadian market on Zinx. Unless the market name explicitly includes "including OT/SO" or "Overtime included", default settlement is on 60 minutes of regulation time only. Empty-net goals count toward regulation totals.
Default settlement is at the end of 90 minutes plus injury time. Extra time and penalty shootouts count only on markets that explicitly name them (e.g. "To lift the trophy"). Abandoned matches are voided unless 90 minutes have already elapsed.
Default settlement includes overtime unless the market explicitly states "regulation only". Quarter and half markets settle at the end of the respective period.
Run-line and totals markets generally require 9 full innings (8.5 if the home team is leading at the bottom of the 9th) for action. Specific 5-inning markets settle at the conclusion of the top of the 5th. Listed pitcher markets require the starters to throw the first pitch of the game.
If a player retires or walks over before the match is officially completed, all unresolved markets are voided unless the result was already certain before retirement (for example, a "Set 1 winner" market after Set 1 ends). Named players must actually take the court for a bet to stand.
A "no contest" verdict from the regulator voids the bout for betting purposes. Draw markets settle on majority or split draws. Method-of-victory markets settle on the verdict announced in the cage, subject to subsequent regulator overturn within 48 hours.
A forfeit before the match begins voids all wagers. A forfeit after the match has begun settles the match in favour of the opponent. Map-by-map markets settle on the publisher's official map result. Restarts due to bugs or technical pauses follow the tournament's published rules.
Non-runners (horses scratched before the off) are voided and any associated Rule 4 deduction is applied to the remaining bets in line with industry-standard practice. Photo finishes and dead heats are settled per section 12. The "off" time is set by the race control.
Default settlement includes overtime. Postponed games settle if rescheduled within 48 hours; otherwise voided. Player markets require the player to be on the active roster at kickoff; otherwise voided.
Stakes are returned (the bet is voided) in the following circumstances:
Voided bets inside a parlay reduce the parlay; they do not cause the parlay to lose.
If an event is postponed and rescheduled within 48 hours of the original scheduled start, bets stand and settle on the rescheduled event. If the rescheduling falls outside the 48-hour window, the bet is voided. Sport-specific exceptions apply β for example, tennis matches that are suspended overnight and resumed the next day are treated as the same match.
A dead heat occurs when two or more selections finish in a position that the market settles on (for example, two runners tied for second place in a top-three finish market). The stake is divided by the number of dead-heat winners and the result multiplied by the original odds.
Zinx applies maximum payouts per market and per day, to protect the integrity of the platform and the bankroll of its players. The current caps are listed below.
| Sport / Product | Maximum payout per bet | Daily aggregate cap (per account) |
|---|---|---|
| NHL / hockey | CAD 500,000 | CAD 1,000,000 |
| NFL / Canadian football | CAD 500,000 | CAD 1,000,000 |
| NBA / basketball | CAD 250,000 | CAD 750,000 |
| MLB / baseball | CAD 250,000 | CAD 750,000 |
| Soccer (top tier leagues) | CAD 500,000 | CAD 1,000,000 |
| Tennis (Grand Slam main draw) | CAD 250,000 | CAD 500,000 |
| MMA / UFC | CAD 250,000 | CAD 500,000 |
| Horse racing | CAD 100,000 | CAD 250,000 |
| Esports | CAD 100,000 | CAD 250,000 |
| Casino jackpots (linked / progressive) | As stated by the game provider | β |
Where a winning bet exceeds the cap, the payout is capped and the remainder forfeited. Parlays are capped by the higher of the sport caps in the parlay.
A palpable error (also called a manifest error) is an obvious pricing or market mistake β a decimal misplaced, the wrong team in a market, or odds inverted relative to clear market consensus. When we identify a palpable error we will either void the bet and refund the stake, or settle at the corrected odds, depending on what is fair in context. Bets placed knowingly on a palpable error are always voided.
Live (in-play) markets are inherently faster and more sensitive to data lag than pre-match markets. The rules below apply on top of the general bet-acceptance rules:
We monitor for activity that compromises the integrity of the platform or the events we offer. The following are prohibited:
Where we identify any of the above, we may suspend the account, void affected bets, withhold winnings, and report to the relevant sporting body, regulator or law-enforcement agency. We work with integrity-monitoring services to detect coordinated activity.
If you disagree with the settlement of a bet, follow the three-stage process below:
When you receive a bet receipt with a unique reference number from our server. Network errors or timeouts that prevent the receipt from being generated mean no bet has been placed and no stake has been deducted.
No. Default settlement is on the score after 60 minutes of regulation only. Overtime and shootouts are included only when the market name explicitly says so (for example, "Including OT/SO").
The game provider's transactional record is final. If the spin was committed server-side, the result stands and the winnings (or losing stake) will be reflected in your balance when you return. If the spin was not committed, your stake is returned automatically.
Markets that were not already decided at the moment of retirement are voided and stakes refunded. Markets that were already certain β for example "Set 1 winner" once Set 1 had ended β are settled normally.
Patterned, systematic arbitrage may lead to account restrictions or bet voiding under section 18. We do not act against occasional recreational hedging.
Most bets settle within minutes of the official result being published. Some markets β for example certain player-stat markets or events without standardised official sources β may take several hours. If a settlement is delayed beyond 48 hours, contact support with your bet reference.
An obvious pricing or market mistake β for example a decimal misplaced, the wrong team appearing in a market, or odds inverted relative to clear market consensus. We may void affected bets or settle them at the corrected odds.
Where the cash-out option is offered on a specific bet, you may accept the displayed value to close the position before the event ends. Cash-out availability is not guaranteed and may be removed at any time, especially in fast-moving live markets.
Bets stand if the event is rescheduled within 48 hours of the original start. Outside that window, bets are voided. Specific sport rules in section 10 can override this default.
The stake is divided by the number of dead-heat winners, and the resulting fraction of the stake is settled at the original odds. The remainder is settled as a loser. See the worked example in section 13.
